Abstract

The emergence of the World Wide Web, its growing accessibility, and rapidly developing functionality offer a supplemental approach for achieving the mission of continuing education. The model conceived to take advantage of the evolving capabilities of the Web - beyond conducting formal courses online - has been designated as the NDU Knowledge Net. The NDU Knowledge Net is a web-enabled service seen as an alternative Information Age strategy for the University to deliver just-in-time continuing education to its constituency.
