Abstract

This presentation will outline our model of technology professional development that we are using with faculty to prepare them for a one to one iPad initiative which pairs faculty with preservice teacher education students to design student centered technology activities for courses across the curriculum. Our program uses aspects of Apple Classroom of Tomorrow (Sandholtz, Ringstaff, and Dwyer, 1996), Communities of Practice (Wenger, 1998) and 21st Century Learning Skills (Partnership for 21st Century Skills, 2011) to provide and evaluate the effectiveness of the professional development program.
