Abstract
This study investigated teacher candidates’ self-perceptions of creativity through constructive pedagogical practices of instructors in an online teacher preparation course. This research used mixed methods that provide authentic evidence of the perceptions of teacher candidates about creativity and pedagogical practices that promote creativity. Findings reveal the complexities of perceptions about creativity as it relates to thinking and practice. Pedagogy that promoted dynamic personal engagement and hands-on or active participation was perceived as creative.
