Readiness of Selected National Capital Region Universities in the Integration Of Information Technology in Major Accounting Subjects in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy: Basis for Program Enhancement

Abstract
The study aimed to evaluate the readiness of selected National Capital Region Universities in the integration of Information Technology in Major Accounting Subjects in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Using the descriptive method of research, data from 17 teachers and 839 students were gathered using a modified structured questionnaire. Mean, frequency, percentages and T-Test was used to analyze the data.At .05 level of significance, results showed that there is a significant difference on the readiness assessment in terms of Basic Computer Operation Skills, Ethical Use and Availability of Instructional Materials. No significant differences were shown on the readiness of Computer Usage, Motivation, Confidence, Goals, Operating System, Office Productivity Tool, Database Management System and all types of Accounting Software.
