Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study, develop, test, and propose a knowledge creation process in virtual learning communities for online scholar communities. The model consisted of seven steps in three phases. The first phase was formation of online scholar communities included two steps. The first step in this phase was knowledge creation activities preparation, and the second step was community launching. In the second phase was maturing of online scholar community included four steps. These four steps in the second phase were: 1) experiences sharing; 2) knowledge creation and justification; 3) knowledge acquisition and integration; and 4) knowledge implementation. And the third phase was transformation of online scholar community included one step that was follow-up studying.
