Abstract

The Jack J. Valenti School of Communication, in cooperation with the university’s Educational Technology and University Outreach division, is investigating the use of iPad in M-Learning curriculum delivery on today’s campuses. Early observations and feedback from stakeholders seems to indicate that Mobile Learning, as a viable curriculum distribution channel, is not only rapidly emerging on campuses today but it’s somewhat expected. And with these expectations comes the need to study and understand the implications that M-Learning in the classroom presents. This paper (presentation) will discuss an overview of our research agenda, the two-pronged pilot program and research study, program design and planning, and some preliminary study results.
