Abstract

The asynchronous discussion forum is known to be an effective strategy in online learning. Instructor and student participation in these discussions may affect the learning outcomes. This research identifies patterns and analyzes various factors of instructor and student participation in threaded discussions in online postgraduate courses, which may help improve learning.
