Abstract

This Poster/Demonstration presents the Blackboard course template that is replicated into 65 sections of a common core course, focusing on the use of a wiki syllabus as a means of providing a common starting point for the course, while also making it easy for individual instructors to tailor the course to their particular section. We will show several versions of the wiki developed by individual faculty for their own sections. Other elements of the course management system are also used to provide a common experience for the students, such as SafeAssign antiplagiarism software, the Grade Center, and the journal/blog, as well as assessment strategies. Ample time will be reserved for discussion and brainstorming.
