Abstract

This purpose of this panel is to explore the possibility of the use of virtual reality such as Second Life by researchers from the US and Korea who are engaged in games and simulation for education. Second Life, as a virtual reality, will be valued by exploring a practical usage case on digital storytelling, the ways of improving learner’s spatial reasoning, and demonstrating user’s collaborative interactions for facilitating learning in Second Life. These three aspects on Second Life are expected to be an effective resource for exploring virtual reality as a new educational environment.
