Abstract

In today’s world of education, it is not unusual for a single class to be made up of students residing in different continents. Educators are having to rely less on physically bringing learners together to achieve learning objectives. Gone are the days when learning was confined to the four walls of the classroom. Luckily, educators have a powerful tool to guide success in these times of adversity – mobile learning - a range of devices and applications that allow us to continue our communication with the learner. This presentation will detail key steps in order to successfully implement mobile learning into the classroom. It will consider the successes, and drawbacks that were experienced along the way by IE Business School (a Spanish MBA school ranked 2nd in the World for distance learning by the Economist Intelligence Unit) and hopes to provide participants with the necessary resources and knowledge to make the introduction of mobile learning in their institutions more manageable.
