Abstract

T The aim of this paper is to provide a conceptual framework that can be used to understand, author and adapt generative learning objects (GLOs). A definition of generative learning objects (GLOs) is followed by an overview of the GLO authoring tool. The central part of the paper deals with describing the conceptual structure of GLOs, using a ‘play’ metaphor. This provides a framework that enables the authoring and adaptation of generative learning objects.
