Abstract

As the digital learning material through the Internet increases, it becomes crucial to support teachers and help them to select and use them efficiently. Educational portal sites have been a powerful way for teachers to choose materials by providing materials with or without lesson plans, or by providing a means of discussion(e.g. a discussion forum, and BBS), about how to use the materials. We developed a community site to share teachers' impressions about the materials and lesson plans. This community site works with materials delivery system. This paper describes design of the community site and results of operation a year by 34 areas including 26,000 teachers. Although it was difficult to activate communication among teachers, some operational ideas to foster their motivation to share information were found.
