Abstract
Faculty from the Colleges of Engineering and Education from the University of Texas at El Paso worked collaboratively to design and implement improved pedagogical techniques by using computers in a more effective way. The creation of a mobile computer laboratory supports cooperative learning strategies and instantaneous assessment of the students. The use of Tablet PCs brings new tools in the classrooms, provides more hands-on activities and allows the setup of a simple computer environment for assessment in teaching and learning.
