Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to share details on the Rasch model validation process utilized in the empirical development of an instrument measuring teacher perceptions of educational technology competencies aligned to professional standards. A sample of 56 in-service teachers were utilized in the development and validation of a 28-item Likert scale instrument. The use of constructive response, Rasch analysis, bivariate correlation, and other psychometric procedures is explained. Results provide significant guidance for continued development.
