Abstract
Technological advancements have leaders asking how to prepare for tomorrow’s classrooms. Research has revealed authentic experiences are necessary. Combining century-old learning process beliefs with futuristic technologies offers a creative way to engage learners. The IgnitED Labs within Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College is framing this future vision. This short paper explores the design methodology used to create an innovative hands-on emerging technology lab, and the preliminary results of its first semester in operation.
