Abstract
Technology is continually evolving and affecting daily life. While it is impossible to use every new technology, it is crucial for instructional technologists and educators to examine what potential emerging technologies have in education. This paper presents emerging technologies and describe ideas on using them in a transformative learning space. Nine emerging technologies were selected from a transformative learning space, the Emerging Technologies and Creativity (ETC) Research Lab. Along with a literature review, we describe how each of the tools are used by students, teachers, and researchers to generate innovative ideas for technology integration. This paper will help decision-makers who are in charge of purchasing technologies in their schools or classrooms and instructors seeking to integrate technology at all levels of learning.
