Abstract

Abstract: This poster session demonstrates how one teacher preparation program is in the process of implementing online e-portfolios. It includes a description of the need for e-portfolios due to recent accreditation requirements at both the state and national levels. There are several areas of reluctance to accept e-portfolios, and each is addressed with implementation strategies to gain acceptance by all faculty and staff. The gradual adoption process is described, from a two year pilot study at CSUB's professional development school, to the current pilot study involving select classes in the secondary program, and proposed next steps to get e-portfolios required by both the elementary and secondary credential programs. At the poster session, examples of templates and work samples will be projected and issues discussed.
