Abstract
This paper describes the development of a course aimed at teaching students how mobile technology can help them with their study of English as a Foreign Language. It shows how while most students have smart phones, they fail to utilize them for the purpose of learning. A survey illustrating how students tend to use their phones is followed by an argument that they need to be shown how to study with their phones. The paper includes specific strategies and tasks that get students using their phones while developing their critical thinking skills. It concludes with an explanation for why this training is necessary.
