Abstract
Our institution, consisting of eleven schools, has a department to support educators who wants to work with educational technology. Despite the available support and the possibilities to use new educational technologies, our educators do not use it as often as our students would like to. Main reasons for not using new technologies are -as mentioned by our educators- a lack of knowledge, time and appreciation from their management. To increase the use of educational technology, we have designed 1) eBooks as interactive reference books, 2) a flipped classroom course about blended learning, 3) projects in which educators are able to experiment with new educational innovations and 4) a certificate program. We would like to share our experiences and results so far regarding the use of those four elements to improve classroom teaching.
