Abstract

Innovative use of media is one of the key factors to facilitate learning. The eLearning products, created by WHSC Library informationists and the media developer, are typically rich in media use. ELearning modules, with embedded videos, provide different teaching functions: displaying recorded interviews, describing a process with a multimedia presentation, showing, via a Screencast, how something can be done on a computer screen and adding animated graphics to draw the learners' attention. Potential technical barriers can be overcome if efforts are made to understand some basics of the media. Art, while conveying the effect of beauty to the audience, also communicates information in multiple powerful ways, making learning easier and more effective.
