Abstract

"Soundtracks Made Simple: Creating, Editing, and Streaming Audio and Video" will teach the fundamentals, vocabulary, techniques, and issues of audio and video creation and editing. The software, Acid Music, easily creates songs, remixes tracks, and scores effective accompanying music for PowerPoints, videos, or Flash animations. Distance educators, web designers, and media specialists are increasingly called on to incorporate audio and video into their presentations. Presentations which feature audio and video are often considered better designed. This session will introduce employers, educators, and students to resources, techniques, design and aesthetic considerations, as well as a range of software choices. Audio and video applications give students and educators the opportunity for personal expression and artistic achievement. Content includes design compatibilities, the creation of music loops, editing concerns, file formats, streaming and rendering, and copyright considerations.
