Abstract

Abstract: The Web-based collaborative PBL (Problem-based learning) environments have high potentialities to improve learners' capabilities for solving ill-structured problems. However, learners have few chances to solve problems through face to face interactions thereby making it difficult for learners to develop a shared understanding for particular mutual task performances. Therefore, academic efforts are needed to overcome these kinds of limitations. As one of the efforts, this study suggests the use of Collaborative Representation Supporting Tool (CRST) developed to support learners to construct a shared knowledge collaboratively.
