Abstract

To design an e-learning course that is adapted to the learner's expectations requires a preliminary study. This study consists of the analysis of the users' needs, the target audience, and prerequisites. This preliminary study also contains the pedagogic design which consists in determining the objectives of the courses, the teaching strategies for each objective and finally in making the scenario and exposure of the course in the media. The author can thus integrate the courses in the e-learning platform once these steps completed. The SMART-Learning course production studio that we'll present is an authoring system that provides authors with assistance tools in pedagogical engineering. Its objective is to back them in the full design of their courses, giving them, at the same time, the possibility to start this design at any step of the design process (analysis, pedagogic design, media management, course integration into the SMART-Learning platform).
