Abstract
This brief will look at the effectiveness of wikis as collaborative learning tools in online environments. These environments will be at the graduate level in a teacher preparation program. Initial results of an on-going qualitative study will be shared. The study will examine how the wiki technology is implemented and received in the online environment and how it could be implemented into coursework at the elementary level. Student perceptions and statistics gathered from online graduate courses will serve as the primary data for this study.
