Abstract
The paper presents the solutions adopted in an e-learning system in order to trace and observe the didactic processes transmitted through its use. The e-learning system, object of this study, is a real system in use for some years now at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Trento. The system called "On Line communities" is based on the metaphor of the learning virtual communities. In the paper we will illustrate an extension of the system that is presently being experimented, making it possible to collect data on the semantics of user behaviour in the e-learning system.
