Abstract
Project Justice Bao is an endeavor to develop a multimedia instructional CD-ROM that utilizes computer technology to motivate students in learning the Chinese language. This article presents some lessons related to metaphor consistency learned from the Project. We first discuss how metaphors are generally used in Computer-Based Learning (CBL) design. This is followed by a short description of Project Justice Bao, from which we share some dimensions of metaphor consistency learned from the Research and Development (R&D) process of the project. Finally, we conclude the article by pointing to some unresolved issues as well as suggesting some directions for future research.
