Abstract
Instructions and curriculums designed to facilitate conceptual change among learners through the conceptual ecology model need to visualize and share both multiple ideas related to the subject matter and the learners’ own commitment to those ideas. We have been engaged in developing the Digital Fortune Line (DFL) System to support visualization and sharing within a class of ordinary size in Japan. In this study, we introduced the enhanced DFL system into a science class in a Japanese elementary school, to evaluate the newly implemented functions from the learners’ perspective. We can conclude that the overall functions was rated highly in terms of the ease of viewing the screens and of understanding the information presented on them, as well as the effectiveness in supporting learning.
