Abstract: This research focuses on insights into the current scope and content of land administration, and e-government services and models in a major conurbation in a developing country. The study also makes use of different perspectives within the existing literature and carries out analysis in order to test a range of hypothesis and research questions. In order to ground the study, attempts have been made to develop a framework for implementing e-Government factors. Developments leading up to and setting the scene for e-Government in industrialised and developing countries was analysed to evaluate whether or not the transformation of e-Government services and its relevance to land administration system, are a necessary prerequisite for social cohesion and economic development in the developing countries.
