Abstract
The assumptions teachers and learners make about education directly inform everyday practices within the classroom. However, recent advances within educational technology, including Web 2.0 tools, have left many assumptions about education unexamined. Instead of turning to technologies to define learning initiatives, it is the instructor and students who truly driving innovation.
