Abstract

Augmented Reality is a digital layer of information overlaid on a real environment. Although augmented reality applications have existed for many years, the increased capabilities of mobile media devices have led to the development of mobile augmented reality applications, which use the device’s camera and internet connection to overlay the image on the screen with additional information. This paper examines the impacts this emerging technology might have on learning and education.
