Abstract

Key stakeholders from across a Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences were drawn together to form an E-Learning Reference Group. The purpose of the E-Learning Reference Group was to provide advice to the Faculty’s Learning Technology Unit on a range of issues related to the status and future direction of e-learning within the Faculty. This paper describes the key outcomes from the E-Learning Reference Group in terms of the aim of understanding the status of e-learning within the Faculty and in terms of determining a future strategic direction for e-learning within the Faculty. We conclude with some reflections on the value of forming and running an E-Learning Reference Group.
