Abstract

In recent years video lectures have gained in popularity and dignity. They are very useful for various kinds of students, for a variety of different reasons. It is unlikely that one would imagine that visually impaired students could benefit form such technology, yet there is evidence of the contrary. Starting from this consideration, we studied the accessibility issues and modified an existing tool for recording and reproducing video lectures so as to make it compatible with the needs of visually impaired students, and meeting at the same time the needs of other types of disadvantage.
