A paradigm shifting architecture for improved learning builds on the work of several pioneers in the field of management science. This paper introduces their work and extends their pioneering paradigm using a knowledge object approach. It provides a knowledge object template by which a “Netting of knowledge” is constructed. Both the template and its display using the Universal Modeling Language (UML) display tool Umbrello provide parts of a toolkit constructed for collaborators discussed below. Building on studies on Knowledge, Learning & Social Progress, the paper demonstrate how the field of learning objects can benefit using this UML-based approach to improved efficiencies in the learning process
