Abstract

This session will report on the preliminary findings from a pilot study that will examine the use digital textbooks delivered via electrophoretic displays (e-ink) for selected general education courses as well as a high school English Literature course at a regional university. A unique partnership between the authors and Pearson Higher Education provides the opportunity to investigate the efficacy and efficiency of e-readers as a textbook delivery system for higher education institutions and secondary schools.
