Abstract

The purpose of this project is to review the literature on the Wiimote Whiteboard and to explore the feasibility of individual educators using it in an educational setting. As financial challenges continue to figure among the most extensive barriers to information and communication technologies (ICT) use (Plante & Beattie, 2004), it is imperative that educators explore ICT options that are cost effective to our educational institutions and our communities, while maintaining high functioning hardware for students and educators. Given this need, low-cost multi-point interactive whiteboard solutions using the Wii remote may be a viable alternative to commercially made interactive whiteboards.
