Abstract

A recent sequence of university courses called LATINA (for Learning and Teaching in a Digital World) provides a running practice and a conceptual blueprint for Web 2.0-based teaching and learning. They were built and conducted with a digital course portal and student blogs as the entry point and scaffold for “dynamic engagement streams”. Focus has been directed towards learning as digital production with tangible outcomes within individual and collective learning spaces. Both textual content and its defining context are objects of collaborative creation, - thus creating a poeitic structure with a potential for double-loop learning. The paper summarizes and reflects on this experience.
