Design and Implementation of a Teacher Reflection Support System using IMPRESSION and MidField

In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the proposed teacher reflection support system. This system provides a function for recording instructional activities (e.g., writing on whiteboard, presenting educational material, etc.) as a lesson process and a video of the lecturer. In addition, it also provides functions that show the recorded lesson process with a list of thumbnail images and replay both records of the instructional activities and the video synchronously from any point by selecting the thumbnails. With these functions, it reduces the burden of recording a lesson process and facilitates teachers to review their own lessons soon after conducting them. Thus, efficient and effective teacher reflection could be expected through our proposed system.
