Abstract
This study is an exploration of the issues of the effectiveness of supervision of special education field placements in a distance education program on the graduate level using video recording of teaching. Video recording of each intern's classroom instruction will be evaluated through self analysis, peer and supervisor using the same forms used in traditional internships in an effort to demonstrate the similarity and overall effectiveness of online distance internship supervision using current technology . With the rising need of highly qualified teachers in critical areas of instruction, teacher education programs must explore alternatives to traditional delivery of programs to meet this need.
