Abstract

This paper describes a small exploratory action research of the use of a hybrid course with first-year education students at Bloomfield College. The purpose of this exploratory action research is to find out the hybrid course is providing effective learning experience for the first-year education majors. This paper presents the first step of the action research, which investigated if the students could adjust to the new learning environment and have become successful online learners. The findings show that the students are capable of online learning in some extent. It also provides a plan for next step of the action research.
