Abstract

With the rapid development of information technology, foreign language teaching has been conducted in distance education. However, how to develop students’ communicative competence in distance environment remains a big challenge. With the case of Beiwai Online College, the author analyses the ways of developing students communicative competence in distance language teaching from several aspects, including textbook, teacher-student interaction, resources and community.
