The purpose of this paper is to discuss the benefits and obstacles of using multimedia in tourist higher education of Itinerary Planning courses. Itinerary planning courses are important for students who study in the field of tourism. Such courses could be greatly enhanced with multimedia technologies. The accessibility, responsiveness, flexibility, and retention of interactive software provide opportunities for students to engage in discovering learning and personal study. Teachers can also use multimedia technologies to present information in multiple ways, cater to different learners' styles, motivate students, and as a result, help students learn more effectively. However, there are obstacles integrating multimedia in such courses. The paper will highlight benefits, obstacles, and suggestions for such integration.
