Abstract

This paper will present our experiences to design and implement an online course in which we teach our education major students how to conduct online-teaching. The course was designed as a teaching-method course. As advocated by many constructivist theories, one of the best ways to learn is to learn from doing. Therefore, we decided to deliver this course as an online course. The ITD technology integration model, and ADDIE instructional design model were used in the course design, and in student online-teaching practice as well. An online teaching system WebCT was used for students to design and conduct online teaching, obtaining the “real world” experiences. Useful tips are also introduced.
