Development and evaluation of web-based learning material about appropriate use of mobile phones for elementary school pupils PROCEEDINGS

Web-based learning material about appropriate use of mobile phones for upper grade (5th and 6th grade) pupils of elementary schools was developed. This material helps pupils to learn by themselves. This paper shows the development process of the material based on GBS: Goal Based Scenario theory. In addition, we conducted a demonstration experiment with four school teachers and 138 pupils. As the results of the experiment, this material helped pupils to learn of their own accord at home and during breaks between classes and they came to want to help people around them and to solve problems related to mobile phones together. However, retention of knowledge and the difficulty of the material remain challenges
