This paper introduces a blended learning system for 7th graders. The system, named Plus i, blends paper materials and web, instead of blending web and face-to-face teaching or tablet PCs. Plus i uses web for 1) animation to explain new units and provide guidance which stimulates students' interests, 2) a learning history management function, 3) a navigator and tutor function, and 4) an academic record visualization function. Currently, 50,000 students use Plus i for their home learning.
