Abstract

The Gulf State of Qatar is experiencing a time in history of immense wealth and rapid change. The schools system is being completed restructured. It is a time when wise decisions must be made by school leaders in regard to technology; choices that must consider context, culture, and values as well as opportunity –but most of these leaders have no training or experience. This session will discuss what is being done in Qatar to train leaders and what kinds of choices these new leaders are making in regard to educational technology.
