Abstract

The research network CALICO (Communautés d'Apprentissage en Ligne, Instrumentation, COllaboration or online learning communities, instrumentation, collaboration) associates 4 research laboratories and 6 colleges of education (France). Its main goals are to develop a better understanding of distant collaborative learning, and to provide tools for researchers and practitioners for better management, study and analysis of discussion forums. In this paper, we will just sum up some lessons learned from previous research of this network and give an overview of current research and examples of results that have been obtained. We got interesting and new results concerning discussion list for secondary teachers in a specific subject (economy and management) and new tools and analysis for discussion forums.
