Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present and demonstrate the Ministry of Education in Taiwan research project- " Digital Archives Project of Ten Major Historic Architectures (DAPTMHA)". DAPTMHA project is to permanently save precious resources of this temple in contemporary high technology media. Ten major Tainan historic Architecture in Taiwan was build during Japanese occupation period from 1900 to 1920, which was import symbols of Taiwan economic, traffic, justice, and cultural development. The project consists of four major categories of digital archives: (1) architecture, (2) ceremonial utensils, (3) literature, and (4) ceremony records and audio/video information. In this presentation and demonstration, researcher demonstrates how to integrate photovista-panorama, virtual reality, and digital video and audio file developed a digital archives information platform. Through active and interactive technology will give cultural learners and historic monument visitors a much more enriched experience and learning environment.
