Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate a National Science Council research project in Taiwan V "Tainan Historic Monuments Digital Archives Project (THMFS)".THMDA project is to permanently save precious resources of this temple in contemporary high technology media. Seven main historic monuments in Taiwan, including pictures, video, audio and multimedia files will be digitized for perpetuity to allow generations of people in the future to study and enjoy this precious cultural resource. The project consists of different major categories: architecture, ceremonial utensils, literature, ceremony records, and audio/video information. In this demonstration, researcher demonstrates how to integrate photovista-panorama, virtual reality, and digital video and audio file developed a digital archives information platform. Through active and interactive technology will give cultural learners and historic monument visitors a much more enriched experience.
