Abstract

The lecture “Introduction to Business Information Systems” has been enhanced by e-learning. Students and tutors assessed the implemented blended learning strategy and the use of the learning management system (LMS). The assessment gives an insight, to what extent LMS influence the learning process. A suitable strategy for the implementation of LMS for organizational purposes will be devised, designed to satisfy the user's needs and which takes into consideration the advantages of standard (SABA Enterprise) and open source software (OLAT 4.0).
