Abstract
Today’s technology has provided various learning tools to help learners acquire knowledge and earn degrees or certificates with time and location flexibilities. Especially with the on-going COVID19 pandemic, online education has emerged as the only savior for learners worldwide. However, online learning has also created an isolated environment that deals with motivational issues. Lack of student attentiveness and active engagement with the course activities has become a significant challenge that negatively influences learning and satisfaction. This study investigates practical strategies and course design ideas that can result in greater learner engagement and attentiveness. We examine the effectiveness of presented strategies via our conducted surveys.
